George Hotel, Stranraer

McEwan Grant Ltd recently completed works to renovate, rebuild and extend the roof of what was previously the George Hotel in Stranraer.

This building is being repurposed to form new council facilities supporting the region.

We constructed a full new bespoke roof structure including bespoke dormas and a feature spiral to bring the building back to close to its former self. This was all formed around new steel structures, with only the facade being rescued and restored, bringing this listed building back to life after years of sitting derelict.

We are currently starting work on the internal fit out – further updates to follow.
